About the Artist

Kaspian was born in Louisiana, where they spent most of their childhood expressing their imagination either through exploring the woods behind their house or through art.

After living in Oregon for 12 years, they moved to New York, where they quickly developed an immediate appreciation for art deco, neoclassical and gothic architecture. That love affair was solidified when they stood crying on a busy street across from a fog draped St. Patrick's Cathedral, one winter day.

That is what Kaspian loves most about art; the ability to elicit a visceral response. Which is probably why their favorite style of art is Romanticism--a Turner sunset can bring them to tears. Much like music and nature. And the mere thought of petting newborn goats. Petting any baby animal really...

In 2023, they had the impulse to learn how to embroider, so they watched a YouTube video just to figure out the proper way to thread a needle. Their first, and so far only, embroidery is a portrait of celebrity, Ashley Johnson. Their next adventure is teaching themself how to create digital art on a budget.
